In my case I found that when the "Particle physics" option is not activated the game disconnects.

0.52.1 game made me quit spontaneously
Trying the new version in an updated server "gg.illwieckz.net {le frag courtois} 0.52.1" I found that in this updated server, the game made me quit spontaneously, directing me to the unvanquished start screen, twice in five minutes.

For example, last night we played on Arachnid (tremulous map), I played all the time destroying spammed leechs around the map. Final results? Human lost.
