Can't Install

Post by rwilkerson1000 »

I'm trying to use the installer to install on Trisquel GNU/Linux. I downloaded it and when I run it I get the fallowing.

:~/Downloads$ ./Unvanquished-0.9.0-linux-installer.run

(main.tcl:2874): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Cannot open pixbuf loader module file '/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache': No such file or directory

(main.tcl:2874): GdkPixbuf-WARNING **: Cannot open pixbuf loader module file '/usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/gdk-pixbuf-2.0/2.10.0/loaders.cache': No such file or directory
Segmentation fault

Not sure what this means. Pixbuf is installed, according to Synaptic. I'm running a 64bit OS, but installed ia32-libs.

Thank you.

That build is outdated. I finally got Linux builds working again, so if you wait until sunday when we release Alpha 12, it should work then.

That's Ubuntu-based, so it's possible that the Ubuntu .debs which we provide will work.

Debian and Ubuntu packages (squeeze, wheezy, sid; 12.04, 12.10, 13.04) may work on derivatives

OFFEND! … no, that's not right… ATTACK!
