There was a point release, try downloading 0.24.1 from SourceForge and tell me if you have any issues.

I can confirm that it works. Please be aware that Unvanquished is not signed with an Apple Developer ID and as such gatekeeper will prevent it from running. If you have gatekeeper installed (versions of OS X at or above 10.7.5 have gatekeeper) and activated (it's activated by default) you must right click on the Unvanquished app and select "Open" from the menu.
